Background The Marine Geomatics & IT team within UCC's Coastal and Marine Resources Centre (CMRC) has an internationally recognised track record in the research and development of systems and infrastructures for environmental management and decision support using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and web-GIS standards and in providing customised solutions for data-management, visualisation, integration, delivery, and geo-spatial analysis.

Due to continued success in EU FP7 (Seventh Framework) research project funding, we are seeking to recruit an experienced IT professional to become a member of the Marine Geomatics & IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled IT professional to work in the expanding area of GIS technology and its applications. Recent successfully funded FP7 research projects awarded to the Marine Geomatics & IT team include NETMAR,  MESMA,  Geo-Seas, and  CoralFISH.
